The Daily News thinks that tapping Palin as VP may drive women voters to Obama’s camp:

Um, does this really surprise anyone? When McCain first announced he was selecting Palin as his VP, everyone screamed “She’s going to steal all the Hillary votes for McCain!” And then she opened her mouth and we all calmed down.
The whole logic here is daft. The Hillary voters were always going to vote for Obama anyway. Palin can’t “drive them away” because they are (D) loyalists to begin with.
I agree. After five minutes of panic because McCain picked a woman, everyone calmed down and realized that Hillary voters would stick with the Democrats.
The undecided women voters who were leaning toward McCain, though, may be put off by Palin and move to Obama.
Or, they may not. It all depends on whether they like Palin, or not, or are indifferent.
Why would anyone assume that all undecided women feel exactly the same about Palin?
